TERM 4
Iraq Speech Comparison
The occasion and subject of the two video was the same. It was about the invasion on Iraq. But the purpose was of course not the same at all. The first video was spoken by George Bush which was the ex-president of the United States. His motive was to make other people have the same thoughts as him and creating an agreement for war. His audience was basically everyone.
The second video was done by a comedian and its purpose was done to criticise speech that was done by bush's which most young people think were dumb and unnecessary.

Muhammad Ali on Military Draft Video Response
The video could be separated into two different parts. The first part was an interview he did speaking on the reasons he declined to war. In that first section of the video, he seemed very strong and spoke as if the "enemy" of this war has not really done anything wrong towards him so why would he go to war against them. He stayed back as if he wasn't and would never be a part of the war.
The second part of the video was in a different place and of course with the presence of different audience. He still spoke very strong but in this case, rather than speaking about just him and the "enemy", he discussed about his own situation and basically critizised the people in his country. But in this case, his audience were not happy about what he said

Donald trump on Illegal Immigrants
The last video we watched during english class was Donald Trump's speech speaking about the illegal immigrant problem that he thinks is threatening the future of the country. The context of his speech was basically full of racist/stereotype assumptions that he knows his audience will also agree with. Speaking of audience, his audience are basically people that are the same with how the way he views things, so saying something like that would make his audience really happy.
My thoughts on this video isn't anything new. I personally wasn't surprised because he is actually known for the things like these. So for me to listen to him saying something like that is not surprising at all. But i think what he did was genius because he made his supporter even feelstronger and

ICELAND DOWNSYNDROME CASE
28th of August 2017
In my opinion, the action they are taking against downsyndrome is pretty brutal and not ethical. Terminating unborn children just because they have menthal issues is just the same as abortion and the same as killing. Eventhough is has effected the percetages of downsyndrome in Iceland a lot, it is still pretty unethical and should not be continued. The action they are taking against unborn downsyndrome is really unethical even witht eh mother’s permission. Termintating unborn children is just the same as killing, if you think killing is not acceptable then you should react the same way against abortion. Letting the children born and take therapy is a more ethical way and is the most proper action to take.
TRUTH by MUHAMMAD ALI
28th of August 2017
The poem Muhammad Ali wrote and read on the interview is named Truth. The poem mainly describes about what goes around "truth". In the poem, Ali said things that revolve around the meaning of truth, things such as "The face of truth is open", "The gaze of truth is straight" and "The voice of truth is deep". In other words, he is explaining truth in truthful way in which people would rarely ever thought of. In the poem, he describes truth in a way that makes it seem like truth is the correct life path everyone should follow or obey.
